Scripture: Ps 78:1-72; 2 Kings 5:19-27; 1 Corinthians 5:1-8; Matthew 5:27-37
Scripture standout: Matthew 5: "29 If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30 And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell."
His Deed/The Day: I said "that will work!" to something benefiting a dear friend, that doesn't exactly "work" in the most ideal of ways for me. But it's not about me, is it?
What happens when you deliberately tweak your conscience to be more aware of meeting others' needs? Every day? And if it happens to be Lent...for 40 days? What does that look like? What deeds would transpire? What blessings come back? How do we listen for direction? Wake up each morning and decide to be intentional about bringing others better into focus with a little prayer, silence and scripture. Let the daily deeding commence! #DoingUntoOthers #OthersFirst #OneDeedADayGo
How to Do-Good
Quick How-To Guide: Start the day with a little silence, scripture (via Forward Day by Day, if you choose) and prayer. Then open your eyes and make it a practice to be hyper-aware of who and what's going on around you. Deploy that deed with confidence when God gives you his signature gentle nudge. This may feel awkward and unnatural. #NoWorries #GoWithIt #DeedWellDone #BlessingsEnsueJustWait

I am so glad that Suzanne invited you to come with her to our Bible Study on the apostle Paul's life. We forget that he had much to overcome in his brusque, impulsive personality,in order to become the leader of not only the other apostles, but also the early church. We are encouraged to look within ourselves to pray for insight that we might become more mature in our own spiritual journey.
