How to Do-Good

Quick How-To Guide: Start the day with a little silence, scripture (via Forward Day by Day, if you choose) and prayer. Then open your eyes and make it a practice to be hyper-aware of who and what's going on around you. Deploy that deed with confidence when God gives you his signature gentle nudge. This may feel awkward and unnatural. #NoWorries #GoWithIt #DeedWellDone #BlessingsEnsueJustWait

Day 25 in Review

Prayer: Yes
Scripture: Yes
Silence: Yes, on the plane going home

The Day/The Deed: There were a few. During this morning's run through Central Park, we had to stop periodically before crossing the street. There was a big half-marathon in the park, so we we had to dodge competitors. While waiting to cross, we cheered complete strangers on in their race. I also gave a little extra tip to the hotel doorman who hooked us up big time with a town car return to the airport.

Words of advice/encouragement: I still enjoy thinking of God as a big, awesome boutique or department store. That's a great vision.

Final thoughts: There was a little bit of a delay getting on our plane at Laguardia. It was no big deal, but they were slow in calling the last zone to board. Everyone was waiting like animals about to pounce on their prey. You should have seen the pushing and frenzy that ensued once our zone was announced. This one guy practically knocked me down to be one person ahead in the line. This doesn't happen often, thank goodness. Generally, people are pretty easy going. But can you imagine how great the world would be if we all acted a little bit more like those two annoying chipmunks, Chip and Dale? 'Memba them?  "No after you." "No after you, I insist." "No, you go ahead." "Please, you go first." We would all be happier, I feel certain.
