Other times, it just takes a lot of hard work and a desire to bolster others less fortunate. I had the awesome opportunity to watch the Bark 'N Howl Bakery in action this morning. This Jacksonville nonprofit, which operates from San Marco and the Beaches, makes homemade doggie treats. The founders volunteer almost 30 hours a week to make this happen. The operation gives special adults aging out of special schools the opportunity to work, beef up their resume and gain invaluable team-building experience. Really cool idea. And if anyone is looking for a local venture to support, this is a good one:
What happens when you deliberately tweak your conscience to be more aware of meeting others' needs? Every day? And if it happens to be Lent...for 40 days? What does that look like? What deeds would transpire? What blessings come back? How do we listen for direction? Wake up each morning and decide to be intentional about bringing others better into focus with a little prayer, silence and scripture. Let the daily deeding commence! #DoingUntoOthers #OthersFirst #OneDeedADayGo
How to Do-Good
Quick How-To Guide: Start the day with a little silence, scripture (via Forward Day by Day, if you choose) and prayer. Then open your eyes and make it a practice to be hyper-aware of who and what's going on around you. Deploy that deed with confidence when God gives you his signature gentle nudge. This may feel awkward and unnatural. #NoWorries #GoWithIt #DeedWellDone #BlessingsEnsueJustWait

Another highlight of God's work in action from hottie Brian Williams...
It's not hard to help others...sometimes, it just takes a good idea. I hope the Jaguars consider this one day...Thanks again to broadcast news' most handsome talking head, Brian Williams. SWAK!
