How to Do-Good

Quick How-To Guide: Start the day with a little silence, scripture (via Forward Day by Day, if you choose) and prayer. Then open your eyes and make it a practice to be hyper-aware of who and what's going on around you. Deploy that deed with confidence when God gives you his signature gentle nudge. This may feel awkward and unnatural. #NoWorries #GoWithIt #DeedWellDone #BlessingsEnsueJustWait

Day 203

Scripture: Ps 18; Daniel 2:31-49; 1 John 2:18-29; Matthew 8:18-27

Scripture standout: Matthew 8: "23 Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. 24 Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. 25The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”
26 He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.
27 The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”

His Deed/The Day: Back in our more party party days, we used to have people over more often or host gatherings. One of our friends was super good about calling me the next day and thanking us. I always thought that was so nice! Last night, we went to a friend's 40th surprise birthday party. His wife organized it and it was lovely (yes, when you're approaching 40, you can use the word 'lovely.') Today, made a point to send her a quick email to thank her for including us. Deed. Done.
