How to Do-Good

Quick How-To Guide: Start the day with a little silence, scripture (via Forward Day by Day, if you choose) and prayer. Then open your eyes and make it a practice to be hyper-aware of who and what's going on around you. Deploy that deed with confidence when God gives you his signature gentle nudge. This may feel awkward and unnatural. #NoWorries #GoWithIt #DeedWellDone #BlessingsEnsueJustWait

Day 313

Scripture: Ps 31, 35; Genesis 11:27-12:8; Hebrews 7:1-17; John 4:16-26

Scripture standout: Ps 31: "14 But I trust in you, LORD;
   I say, “You are my God.”
15 My times are in your hands;"

And another favie fave from the Biblegateway QoTD:
“[Trials and Temptations] Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.” James 1:2-3 NIV

His Deed/The Day: Ah, deed done before the kids wake up — now that's my kind of deeding day. I'd heard about a friend — not a good friend, but a nice person who's a friend of a friend — is starting a new nonprofit venture in Jacksonville. I hadn't gotten details about it, and all I knew was something that was shared with me in a passing conversation. I do know it's launching on Saturday, whatever it is. So, this morning I fired off a quick email wishing her and the new venture well — and that one day soon I wanted to hear more about it.
