How to Do-Good

Quick How-To Guide: Start the day with a little silence, scripture (via Forward Day by Day, if you choose) and prayer. Then open your eyes and make it a practice to be hyper-aware of who and what's going on around you. Deploy that deed with confidence when God gives you his signature gentle nudge. This may feel awkward and unnatural. #NoWorries #GoWithIt #DeedWellDone #BlessingsEnsueJustWait

Day 306

Scripture: Ps 16, 17, 22; Genesis 6:1-8; Hebrews 3:12-19; John 2:1-12

Scripture standout: Ps 16: "5 Lord, everything you have given me is good.
You have made my life secure. "

Hebrews 2: 12 "Do not let an unbelieving heart turn you away from the living God. 13 But build one another up every day."

John 2: "They did what he said. 9 The person in charge tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He didn't realize where it had come from. But the servants who had brought the water knew.
Then the person in charge called the groom to one side. 10 He said to him, "Everyone brings out the best wine first. They bring out the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink. But you have saved the best until now."

His Deed/The Day: Anybody tried to back out of a parking place on Park Street or Riverside Avenue? It's a tough proposition! The other day I must have waited 10 minutes in reverse, foot on the brake, head contorted to get a view of oncoming traffic — to back out of a place. It's no easy task! Today, a little old lady was trying to do the same thing onto Riverside Avenue. That's not much easier. On a busy, less thought-full day, I would have blown past feeling fortunate it wasn't me...Today, I stopped, waited while she pulled out and didn't freak that I missed the light and had to wait another few minutes.
