How to Do-Good

Quick How-To Guide: Start the day with a little silence, scripture (via Forward Day by Day, if you choose) and prayer. Then open your eyes and make it a practice to be hyper-aware of who and what's going on around you. Deploy that deed with confidence when God gives you his signature gentle nudge. This may feel awkward and unnatural. #NoWorries #GoWithIt #DeedWellDone #BlessingsEnsueJustWait

Day 248

Scripture: Ps 101, 109:1-30; Ps 119:121-144; 1 Maccabees 3:42-60; Revelation 21:9-21; Matthew 17:22-27

Scripture standout: Ps 119: "130 When your words are made clear, they bring light.
They bring understanding to childish people."

His Deed/The Day: Going to sit in the hospital with a new Afghan arrival, Shamsulla. He just had surgery last weekend. A group of neighbors and friends are taking turns around the clock to make sure he is not left alone for a minute while he's there. Isn't that beautiful?

  1. "Solace" is such a wonderful organization. Now a part of your heart is in Afghanistan. Mission accomplished!
